The Bull Trout is a result of TOPS 3rdannual contest where employees are encouraged to design a knife that will be put into production if chosen. This year the winner was Martin Murillo for his EDC fixed-blade design. Martin is an avid fisherman, so the Bull Trout had to excel at that. It’s got comfortable burlap Micarta handles with a stainless 154cm blade and a simple, classic chocolate leather sheath. But you don’t have to be a fisherman to enjoy this knife. It’s just a great all-around EDC blade.

Long Description
EDC knives can mean many different things to many people. In 2018, TOPS chose EDC knives as the category for the 3rdannual employee design challenge. Out of all of the entries received, the Bull Trout was hands down the winner.
It was designed by Martin Murillo, who is an avid fisherman/outdoorsman and is the shipping manager at TOPS. So when he sat down to design the knife, his experience processing the fish he catches played a major role. As did every day utility tasks like those you might expect when working with packaging materials all day long.
The bull Trout is small and light enough to carry easily every day. The 154cm stainless steel blade requires little to no maintenance and will hold its edge for quite some time. The brown burlap handles and chocolate leather sheath look as good as they function. Everything about the knife shows that it’s designed to look good on your hip and work just as well.
