Story by Joshua Swanagon, Photos from previous shows
I don’t think I have to tell you that this past year and a half has been a lot to take in, which was only exacerbated by the cancellation of our favorite shows—leaving us isolated from an industry that provides many of us with a great deal of enjoyment and stress relief.
Although these past few months haven’t exactly provided much relief from the insanity we experienced throughout 2020, at the very least Blade Show has remained determined to host the show this year, and it has paid off.
Throughout the recent months Blade Show has maintained the expectation to still host the show this year but has been met by many with cautious optimism—myself included. However, even though we are all getting used to the powers that be making crazy last-minute decisions about shutdowns, with only a couple weeks left before the show I think we can all agree, this is happening!
Make sure to keep an eye out for me and Bobby Bushcraft as we roam the show floor looking for the latest and greatest in sharp stabby things. If you see us, stop us and say hi. If you have a booth and see us walking by, make sure to grab our attention and show us your work. Being one of our favorite subjects, it will not be hard to get us to stop and look at great knives.
These next couple weeks are going to feel a little like molasses spilling uphill but will be here before we know it. So, it is time to dust off our social acumen and try to remember what it is like to be around people again.
We are looking forward to seeing you all! Stay sharp and keep it real. K&G
